Why we think this is a classy wine to drink

The Two Hands Angels' Share Shiraz 2019 is from the McLaren Vale region of South Australia. McLaren Vale Shiraz is one of those wonderful, sometimes lesser known, gems. This Two Hands Angels' Share Shiraz is a great example of this region.  The picturesque Two Hands winery has been recognised for 10 years straight as a Top 100 Global Winery by Wine Spectator magazine. A very approachable and drinkable red wine, this lovely Two Hands Angels Share Shiraz will last many years in the cellar. The Angels Share Shiraz was aged for 12 months in French and American oak (6% new French).

This is a rich McLaren Vale Shiraz with red fruit, blueberry, lavender and Moroccan spice flavours. Time maturing in oak and on lees provides a smooth, velvety feel to this red wine.  Try the Angels Share Shiraz with rich roast red meats, tomato-based pasta dishes or strong hard cheese.

About The Winery

The Two Hands winery started in September 1999 when founders Michael Twelftree and Richard Mintz came together and decided to created a range of red wines focused on the local and US markets. The philosophy of Two Hands is "quality without compromise" and that drives all the decisions from fruit and oak selection to packaging and promotion.

The aim of Two Hands is to make the best possible Shiraz-based wines from prized growing regions throughout Australia. In doing this showcase the diversity of Australian Shiraz by highlighting regional and vineyard characteristics. Grapes are sourced from the Barossa Valley (where they own 15 hectares of vineyards), McLaren Vale, Clare Valley, Langhorne Creek and Padthaway.

In recognition of their focus on quality and delicious wines, in 2012 Two Hands was named in the Wine Spectator’s annual Top 100 for the 10th consecutive year.

Today, Two Hands is owned by Michael Twelftree and Tim Hower, and since Tim's investment in 2015 has expanded their vineyard ownership.
