About The Winery

Ferraton Père & Fils is one of the largest and finest producers in the Northern Rhone. A joint venture partnership of the Ferraton family and Michel Chapoutier, it produces some of the region’s finest wines from a modern winemaking facility in Tain-L’Hermitage.

Its current vineyard holdings consist of 15 hectares, (some more than 60 years old) which since 1998 have been worked biodynamically. It also operates as a negociant and produces wines from purchased fruit from a wide variety of appellations.

Ferraton’s highly talented chief winemaker, Damien Brisset, is originally from Bordeaux. All the wines are beautifully made, highly approachable, and perfectly balanced with good acidity. The estate wines are especially noteworthy for their refinement, elegance and power.
