About The Winery

For over a century, the Domaine Albin Jacumin has seen four generations of winemakers successively pass down their passion and pride from father to son. The domain has evolved, first started by Aimé it was then passed onto his son Alain who managed, with his wife Sylvette, to perpetuate his father’s passion for the noble craft of winemaking. Their son Albin and his wife Agnès are now skillfully striving to maintain and modernise the domain.

The winery is located in the town of Chateauneuf-du-Pape, some 10kms north of Avignon in the south of France. The Domaine Albin Jacumin comprises 19 hectares of Chateauneuf-du-Pape vineyards, 6 hectares of Côtes du Rhone veinyards and one hectare of grapes for table wine.

Its production of Chateauneuf-du-Pape is based on the 13 authorised grape varieties, however the winery focuses on Grenache, Mourvèdre, Shiraz and Cinsaut for its red wines.

Racy & spicy Rhone

The 2015 'La Begude des Papes' Châteauneuf-du-Pape has a beautiful red fruit nose, with spicy undertones. A well balanced medium-bodied wine, with ripe fruit and well balanced tannins and acidity, resulting in a long finish. Plenty of years ahead of it.
