Why we think this is a classy wine to drink

Floral Spicy Floral Cherry Raspberry Dark Plum

  • Sold out at the cellar. Don't miss out
  • From the picture postcard New Zealand Pinot Noir producing region of Martinborough, which is located at the southern end of the NZ North Island. The 2016 Martinborough vintage was rated 93 points by Wine Enthusiast
  • Craggy Range is one of NZ's best producers and this Pinot Noir is sourced from their Te Muna vineyard in Martinborough. The wine was hand-harvested, whole-bunch fermented and spent 9 months in mostly old French oak before bottling
  • Beautiful floral medium-bodied red wine with seductive aromas of cherries and raspberries, some dark plum and spice notes, and elegant, fine tannins
  • Perfect with poultry or some gentle cheese

About The Winery

Craggy Range is a family owned winery that was established in 1997 by Terry Peabody and Steve Smith. The winery is situated near the spectacular Te Mata Peak in the premium Hawke’s Bay region.

Craggy Range produces a range of iconic wines from multiple its vineyards across New Zealand, namely Hawke's Bay, Martinborough and Marlborough. Terry and his family have pursued a single vineyard approach to winemaking, planting on green fields and bare land ensuring a focus on quality from the very beginning. Today Matt Stafford is chief winemaker at Craggy Range.

The Gimblett Gravels vineyard is located in Hawke's Bay on the east coast of New Zealand while their Te Muna Road Vineyard is located just outside of the township of Martinborough on the lower north island.

Craggy Range produces all their wines from the three different vineyard areas at two sites in Hawke's Bay. The majority of their production is done at the Gimblett Gravels Winery, with their premium Sophia range produced at their Giants Winery.
