Why we think this is a classy wine to drink

The Chateau Barrejat Madiran Tradition 2016 is a concentrated French red wine from Madiran in South-West France and predominantly from the tannic Tannat grape, also home in South America. This wine is a blend of 60% Tannat and 40% Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon from 40 year old vines. This Chateau Barrejat is a very traditional example of Madiran red wines, owner Denis Capmartin is one of the best producers in this appellation.

Inky purple in colour with aromas of brambly fruit and cassis, concentrated black cherries with firm tannins. A fruit-intense, accessible style made in concrete vats and older barriques. Very well structured. Enjoy the Chateau Barrejat Madiran Tradition 2016 with grilled meat, hard cheeses, pasta with meat sauce, red meat, stews and pork.

About The Winery
