This easy drinking Aquilani Sangiovese pairs well with many foods given its approachable style and lower alcohol (only 12.0% for a red wine). Think grilled red and white meats, pasta or a mature hard cheese like pecorino or manchego. This 2018 Italian red wine shows lovely floral aromas of violets along with customary Sangiovese red fruit flavours and savoury notes.

Aquilani is a brand of Italian wines from the magical Tuscany and Veneto regions of this vinous peninsula. Aquilani wines are made by Marco Flacco. Inspired by all things Italian, these wines take inspiration from Italy's passion with the brand, Aquilani, named after one of Italy’s leading soccer players.
Aquilani red wines, from the Sangiovese red grape, come from vineyards in the wider Tuscany region. This is home to the famous Sangiovese wines of Chianti and Brunello. Aquilani white wines come from the cool climate Friuli region of north-east Italy where altitude and proximity to the Italian Alps provide a wonderful climate to produce fresh, aromatic wines.
